DOCTOR OF MINISTRY WITH CONCENTRATION IN CHURCH MUSIC

Objectives

Students will be able to:

1. Evidence a biblical philosophy of church music and understanding of music ministry;
2.
Be equipped with the in-depth study in the theological knowledge of church music;
3. Demonstrate the specialized skills in their concentration areas for music ministry areas;
4.
Demonstrate the ability to serve as a church music leader and teacher to enhance schools and other ministry areas.

*The course hours for students who can not fulfill the recital credit in Master¡¯s Degree

Recital Requirements: The requirement for the applied studies is completed with an acceptable doctoral recital before giving an oral defense of his/her dissertations. If students can not fulfill the requirement of doctoral recital because of not having of music performance areas background with Master¡¯s degree or other reason, they may take the course of CM 819 Doctoral Seminar in Analysis as a substitute for the recital by submitting the request form and the letter of reason to apply for before starting the semester. It may be downloaded from the website of the school.
