DOCTOR OF SOCIAL WORK

Curriculum of the Doctor of Social Work includes five sequences: Practice, Policy, Human Behavior, Research, and Internship
Purpose

The purpose of the Doctor of Social Work is to educate and prepare future Christian leaders who can institute social services, change policies and practices in international communities. Graduates will be research-based practitioners and work in cooperation with Christian organizations and with private, public, and governmental social agencies addressing individual and social needs.

Objectives

Students will be able to:

1.
Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of human resource and delivery systems.
2.
Effectively demonstrate competencies in working with individuals of diverse communities.
3.
Apply research-based practice knowledge and skills to social service policies related to personal issues, values, and attitudes of target populations.
4.
Demonstrate competencies in the application of relationship development through human communication and access systems.
5.
Demonstrate knowledge and skills in critical thinking from Biblical perspectives.
